I thought I would take this time to tell you a bit about my art and how I come up with my pieces.
I use A LOT of reference photos. Why a lot? Because last I checked, no skilled artist that came from their mother’s womb already knew how to draw a hand. Or seen every sunset imaginable. Trust me, God has one incredible imagination, and he loves to show it off. So I use references. Anyone who has never used a reference or say’s you can’t, doesn’t want you to exceed their skills. Use them, don’t use them, it’s up to you. Give credit where credit is due.
I have never used AI or Chat GPT for any of my artworks or writing. And I never will.
Why?
I’ll explain. I have two goats. They are ornery, lovable little dudes, but they are a handful. Once a month, I have to trim their hooves. They don’t like it. I don’t like it. They hate it, I hate it, but it has to be done. They make me chase them around their pen, through the woods, and when I finally catch the little brats, and get their halters on, bring them back to the gate, tie them to a tree, straddle them and begin trimming hooves, while getting kicked and bit… it’s not a pleasant experience. But I do it anyway because I love the little turds and if I don’t trim their hooves, then they will get some serious health problems. If I didn’t trim their hooves, it would be like us walking around with gravel in our shoes 24/7. Not fun or healthy. So I do it. Because it’s my responsibility to take care of them.
I create art and I write because I love it. I will wrestle that blank sheet of paper until I get the artwork or writing that I am proud of. You can’t tell me that AI or Chat GTP does the same. There is a sense of knowing that you did your best and you put all your blood sweat and tears into a project. Not just hitting a button. At that point, it’s nice to know it’s all on you and only you.
I love my goats. Just as much as I love to create.
It’s all on me. This is my life. This is my goat. You will never have to worry about whether I used my God given talent or not. Cheaters never win and Winners never cheat. So I will not cheat. ~Chara J.
